Duane Kirkpatrick - Project Manager
Duane is the founder and President of Fort Point Group and is a member of the Project Management Institute. He is Chairman of the Board of Hopeland, a community service project management firm located in Algeria. (www.HopelandDZ.com) Recent projects have included full-time assignments with Compasso, TeleNova, Robertson Stephens, WR Hambrecht and Instinet to advise and initiate those firm's international expansion strategies. Prior to founding Fort Point, Duane was a Managing Director of Bankers Trust Company with primary responsibility for managing a later-stage venture capital fund. Duane was a founder and Managing Partner with Woodman Kirkpatrick & Gilbreath; and Director of Research for Hambrecht & Quist. Previously, he was a technology securities analyst and a First Vice President with Dean Witter. He was selected by Institutional Investor Magazine as an “All America” technology analyst. His first job was with International Business Machines where he worked as a computer sales representative, a product development laboratory associate, executive assistant to the CFO, and manager of Pricing Policy in IBM World Trade Corporation. Duane received a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of California, Berkeley. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP) certified by the Project Management Institute www.pmi.org.
